    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to alternative fuel; requiring the
    3         Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government
    4         Accountability to complete a review of the taxation of
    5         liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas;
    6         providing report requirements; requiring the report be
    7         submitted to the Legislature by a specified date;
    8         providing an effective date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. The Office of Program Policy Analysis and
   13  Government Accountability shall complete a report reviewing the
   14  taxation of liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas
   15  used to power motor vehicles under s. 206.877 and chapter 212,
   16  Florida Statutes. The report must, at a minimum: evaluate growth
   17  trends in the use of liquefied petroleum gas and compressed
   18  natural gas used to power motor vehicles; survey how other
   19  states tax liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas to
   20  power motor vehicles and how they provide incentives to
   21  consumers of such alternative fuels; and survey current
   22  consumers and suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas and
   23  compressed natural gas. The report shall be submitted to the
   24  President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of
   25  Representatives by November 1, 2013.
   26         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
