Senator Soto moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (481688) (with title
2 amendment)

4 Delete lines 1396 - 1412
5 and insert:
6 (b) A person or political committee may not make
7 contributions to a state or county executive committee of a
8 political party or to a political committee or electioneering
9 communications organization affiliated with or organized by a
10 candidate aggregating more than $25,000 per calendar year.
11 (c)(b)1. The contribution limits provided in this
12 subsection do not apply to contributions made by a state or
13 county executive committee of a political party or affiliated
14 party committee regulated by chapter 103 or to amounts
15 contributed by a candidate to his or her own campaign.
16 2. Notwithstanding the limits provided in this subsection,
17 an unemancipated child under the age of 18 years of age may not
18 make a contribution in excess of $100 to any candidate or to any
19 political committee supporting one or more candidates.
20 (d)(c) The contribution limits of this subsection apply to
21 each election. For purposes of this subsection, the primary
22 election and general election are separate elections so long as
23 the candidate is not an unopposed candidate as defined in s.
24 106.011 106.011(15). However, for the purpose of contribution
25 limits with respect to candidates for retention as a justice or
26 judge, there is only one election, which is the general
27 election.
