    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the Southwest Florida Water
    3         Management District; directing the Southwest Florida
    4         Water Management District to transfer certain water
    5         control structures and related real property interests
    6         to the Lake Region Lakes Management District;
    7         providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. On or before September 30, 2013, the Southwest
   12  Florida Water Management District shall transfer all interests
   13  that it has in the four water control structures located in Polk
   14  County, known as P-5, P-6, P-7, and P-8, together with all real
   15  property interests owned by the district which relate to
   16  operation of the structures, to the Lake Region Lakes Management
   17  District. Upon being transferred, such water control structures
   18  shall be operated in accordance with all applicable laws at the
   19  sole cost and expense of the Lake Region Lakes Management
   20  District.
   21         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
