Section 100.032, Florida Statutes, is created to 7 read: 8 100.032 Election preparation report; general election.—Each 9 supervisor of elections must submit a report to the Secretary of 10 State at least 3 months before a general election which outlines 11 preparations for the upcoming general election. The report must 12 include, at a minimum, the following elements: the anticipated 13 staffing levels during the early voting period, on election day, 14 and after election day; and the anticipated amount of automatic 15 tabulating equipment at each early voting site and polling 16 place. 17 Section 3. Section 100.061, Florida Statutes, is amended to 18 read: 19 100.061 Primary election.—In each year in which a general 20 election is held, a primary election for nomination of 21 candidates of political parties shall be held on the Tuesday 10 2212weeks prior to the general election. The candidate receiving 23 the highest number of votes cast in each contest in the primary 24 election shall be declared nominated for such office.
