       The Committee on Community Affairs (Latvala) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 26 - 29
    4  and insert:
    5  from employment, paid or unpaid, used by an employee for a
    6  personal health condition or to seek medical attention; to
    7  assist a dependent child of the employee, the employee’s spouse,
    8  or a member of the employee’s household dealing with a health
    9  condition or seeking medical attention; or to give birth or
   10  adopt a child. The term does not include leave related to and
   11  arising directly from domestic violence unless such leave is
   12  related to a personal health condition or the seeking of medical
   13  attention as a result of domestic violence.
