       Senator Stargel moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete line 376
    4  and insert:
    5  accepting partial rent for the period. If partial rent is
    6  accepted after posting the notice for nonpayment, the landlord
    7  must:
    8         1. Provide the tenant with a receipt stating the date and
    9  amount received and the agreed upon date and balance of rent due
   10  before filing an action for possession;
   11         2. Place the amount of partial rent accepted from the
   12  tenant in the registry of the court upon filing the action for
   13  possession; or
   14         3. Post a new 3-day notice reflecting the new amount due.

   18         Between lines 30 and 31
   19  insert:
   20         requiring a landlord to follow specified procedures if
   21         the landlord accepts partial rent after posting the
   22         notice of nonpayment;
