       Senator Montford moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 3877 and 3878
    4  insert:
    5         Section 87. A health facility, as defined in s. 154.205,
    6  Florida Statutes, or other custodian of the records who
    7  furnishes copies of patient records or makes the records
    8  available for digital scanning may charge no more for such
    9  services than the amount specified in general law or rules
   10  adopted by the administrative agency or other entity that
   11  regulates the health facility. The rates charged for the
   12  reproduction of records in an electronic format shall be the
   13  same as the rates charged for the production of records in a
   14  paper format.

   17         And the title is amended as follows:
   18         Delete line 361
   19  and insert:
   20         development; providing a limitation on the allowable
   21         charges by a health facility or custodian of the
   22         records for providing patient records; providing that
   23         rates for reproducing records in an electronic format
   24         shall be the same as rates for providing paper copies;
   25         providing an effective date.
