Senator Hays moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Between lines 146 and 147
4 insert:
5 Section 4. Subsections (1) and (2) of section 465.189,
6 Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
7 465.189 Administration of vaccines and epinephrine
8 autoinjection.—
9 (1) In accordance with guidelines of the Centers for
10 Disease Control and Prevention for each recommended immunization
11 or vaccine, a pharmacist may administer the following vaccines
12 to an adult within the framework of an established protocol
13 under a supervising physician licensed under chapter 458 or
14 chapter 459:
15 (a) Influenza vaccine.
16 (b) Pneumococcal vaccine.
17 (c) Meningococcal vaccine.
18 (d) Shingles vaccine.
19 (2) In accordance with guidelines of the Centers for
20 Disease Control and Prevention, a pharmacist may administer the
21 shingles vaccine within the framework of an established protocol
22 and pursuant to a written or electronic prescription issued to
23 the patient by a physician licensed under chapter 458 or chapter
24 459.

29 and insert:
30 An act relating to health care; amending s. 395.401,
31 F.S.; limiting trauma service fees to a certain
32 amount; providing for future expiration; amending s.
33 395.402, F.S.; requiring the Department of Health to
34 convene the Florida Trauma System Plan Advisory
35 Council by a specified date; requiring the Florida
36 Trauma System Plan Advisory Council to review the
37 Trauma System Consultation Report and make
38 recommendations to the Legislature by a specified
39 date; authorizing the Florida Trauma System Plan
40 Advisory Council to make recommendations to the State
41 Surgeon General; designating the membership of the
42 advisory council; amending s. 395.4025, F.S.; deleting
43 a provision relating to the procedure for protesting
44 an application decision by the department; conforming
45 cross-references; authorizing certain provisional and
46 verified trauma centers to continue operating and to
47 apply for renewal; restricting the department from
48 verifying, designating, or provisionally approving
49 hospitals as trauma centers; providing for future
50 expiration; amending s. 465.189, F.S.; authorizing a
51 pharmacist to administer meningococcal and shingles
52 vaccines; providing an effective date.
