House Comm: RCS . 04/08/2014 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 2 3 Delete everything after the enacting clause 4 and insert: 5 Subsection 18 of section 409.175, F.S., is created to read: 6 (18) Owners, operators, employees, and volunteers working 7 in summer day camps or summer 24-hour camps providing care for 8 children must pass a background screening, using the level 2 9 standards for screening set forth in chapter 435, Florida 10 Statutes. In order to facilitate employment decisions and to 11 provide information to parents and others about summer camps, 12 the department shall create an online registry of persons who 13 have met these requirements, using the information supplied by 14 owners and operators of the camps. This registry shall be placed 15 on the department’s internet website and shall be available to 16 the public.
