    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to lawnmower safety devices;
    3         prohibiting the removal or disabling of a part or
    4         device on a lawnmower that is primarily for safety;
    5         providing a noncriminal penalty; providing an
    6         effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. A person who knowingly and intentionally removes
   11  or disables a part or device on a lawnmower that is primarily
   12  intended to provide for the safety of the operator of the
   13  lawnmower or other persons commits a noncriminal violation
   14  punishable as provided in s. 775.083, Florida Statutes.
   15         Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2014.
