    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to local land development regulations;
    3         amending s. 163.3202, F.S.; requiring local land
    4         development regulations to provide for sinkhole
    5         testing; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Paragraph (j) is added to subsection (2) of
   10  section 163.3202, Florida Statutes, to read:
   11         163.3202 Land development regulations.—
   12         (2) Local land development regulations shall contain
   13  specific and detailed provisions necessary or desirable to
   14  implement the adopted comprehensive plan and shall at a minimum:
   15         (j) Require sinkhole testing before development begins.
   16         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2014.
