Paragraph (a) of subsection (6) of section 6 395.003, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 7 395.003 Licensure; denial, suspension, and revocation.— 8 (6)(a) A specialty hospital may not provide any service or 9 regularly serve any population group beyond those services or 10 groups specified in its license. Aspecialty-licensed children’s11 hospital that is authorized to provide pediatric cardiac 12 catheterization and pediatric open-heart surgery services may 13 provide cardiovascular service to adults who, as children, were 14 previously served by the hospital for congenital heart disease, 15 or tothosepatients who are referred only for a specialized 16 procedureonlyfor congenital heart disease by an adult 17 hospital, without obtaining additional licensure as a provider 18 of adult cardiovascular services. The agency may request 19 documentation as needed to support patient selection and 20 treatment. This subsection does not apply to a specialty 21 licensed children’s hospital that is already licensed to provide 22 adult cardiovascular services. 23 24 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 25 And the title is amended as follows: 26 Delete line 292 27 and insert: 28 home health agencies; amending s. 395.003, F.S.; 29 revising provisions relating to the provision of 30 cardiovascular services by a hospital; providing 31 effective dates.
