       Senator Hays moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 2694 and 2695
    4  insert:
    5         Section 48. Present subsections (3) through (8) of section
    6  409.902, Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections (4)
    7  through (9), respectively, and a new subsection (3) is added to
    8  that section, to read:
    9         409.902 Designated single state agency; payment
   10  requirements; program title; release of medical records.—
   11         (3)The face amount of a life insurance policy for burial
   12  purposes or funds set aside in a life insurance policy to fund a
   13  preneed contract entered into pursuant to chapter 497 which is
   14  limited in value as set forth in s. 626.785(3) are not
   15  considered an asset for purposes of determining eligibility for
   16  medical assistance.

   19  And the title is amended as follows:
   20         Delete line 292
   21  and insert:
   22         home health agencies; amending s. 409.902, F.S.;
   23         providing that the face amount of a limited value life
   24         insurance policy for burial purposes is not an asset
   25         for determining eligibility for medical assistance;
   26         providing effective dates.
