House Comm: RCS . 03/05/2014 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 365 - 378 4 and insert: 5 (f) The department shall incorporate standards established 6 by the agency which are designed to reduce costs, increase 7 productivity, or improve services into the requirements for 8 procuring information technology products and services. The 9 agency shall review all information technology purchases made by 10 state agencies which have a total cost of $250,000 or more, 11 unless a purchase is specifically mandated by the Legislature, 12 for compliance with the standards established pursuant to this 13 section. 14 (g) The agency shall participate as an evaluator or 15 negotiator and collaborate with the department in conducting 16 procurements for information technology products and services 17 that will be used by multiple state agencies, and collaborate 18 with the department in information technology resource 19 acquisition planning.
