       Senator Bradley moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 22 - 28
    4  and insert:
    5  district contains two or more school board districts, as
    6  provided by rules of the State Board of Education. However,
    7  Florida State College at Jacksonville shall have an odd number
    8  of trustees.
    9         (2) Trustees shall be appointed by the Governor to
   10  staggered 4-year terms, subject to confirmation and confirmed by
   11  the Senate in regular session.
   12         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.

   15  And the directory clause is amended as follows:
   16         Delete lines 12 - 13
   17  and insert:
   18         Section 1. Subsections (1) and (2) of section 1001.61,
   19  Florida Statutes, are amended to read:

   22  And the title is amended as follows:
   23         Delete lines 4 - 8
   24  and insert:
   25         membership requirements for the Florida College System
   26         institution boards of trustees; deleting a provision
   27         requiring the Florida State College at Jacksonville to
   28         have an odd number of trustees; providing for
   29         staggered terms of board members; providing an
   30         effective date.
