    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to elections; amending s. 101.151,
    3         F.S.; authorizing the supervisor of elections to
    4         arrange the ballot layout for multi-language ballots
    5         in a certain manner; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Subsection (8) of section 101.151, Florida
   10  Statutes, is amended to read:
   11         101.151 Specifications for ballots.—
   12         (8) In counties subject to multi-language ballot
   13  requirements, the supervisor may:
   14         (a) Petition the United States Department of Justice for
   15  authorization for the supervisor to print and deliver single
   16  language ballots for each minority language required.
   17         (b) Arrange the ballot layout so that each required
   18  minority language appears on a separate portion of the ballot
   19  with each race identically listed in each respective language.
   20         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
