    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to package stores; amending s. 565.04,
    3         F.S.; providing the licensed premises may have one
    4         entrance opening into another building or room;
    5         providing for a door to that entrance and a separate
    6         outside entrance; providing other spaces; providing an
    7         effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Section 565.04, Florida Statutes, is amended to
   12  read:
   13         565.04 Package store restrictions.—Vendors licensed under
   14  s. 565.02(1)(a) shall not in said place of business sell, offer,
   15  or expose for sale any merchandise other than such beverages, in
   16  the licensed premises, and the licensed premises such places of
   17  business shall be devoted exclusively to such sales; provided,
   18  however, that such vendors shall be permitted to sell bitters,
   19  grenadine, nonalcoholic mixer-type beverages (not to include
   20  fruit juices produced outside this state), fruit juices produced
   21  in this state, home bar, and party supplies and equipment
   22  (including but not limited to glassware and party-type foods),
   23  miniatures of no alcoholic content, and tobacco products. The
   24  licensed premises Such places of business shall have no more
   25  than one entrance openings permitting direct access to any other
   26  building or room, provided the entrance has a door capable of
   27  being opened and closed by patrons and a separate outside
   28  entrance is provided except to a private office or storage room
   29  of the place of business from which patrons are excluded. The
   30  licensed premises may also have a private office or storage room
   31  from which patrons are excluded.
   32         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2015.
