Section 186.512, Florida Statutes, is created to 6 read: 7 186.512 Designation of regional planning councils.—The 8 territorial area of the state is subdivided into the following 9 districts for the purpose of regional comprehensive planning. 10 The name and geographic area of each respective district shall 11 accord with the following: 12 (1) West Florida Regional Planning Council: Bay, Escambia, 13 Holmes, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington Counties. 14 (2) Apalachee Regional Planning Council: Calhoun, Franklin, 15 Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, and Wakulla 16 Counties. 17 (3) North Central Florida Regional Planning Council: 18 Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, 19 Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Marion, Suwannee, Taylor, and Union 20 Counties. 21 (4) Northeast Florida Regional Planning Council: Baker, 22 Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties. 23 (5) East Central Florida Regional Planning Council: 24 Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia 25 Counties. 26 (6) Central Florida Regional Planning Council: DeSoto, 27 Hardee, Highlands, Okeechobee, and Polk Counties. 28 (7) Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council: Citrus, Hernando, 29 Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties. 30 (8) Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council: Charlotte, 31 Collier, Glades, Hendry, Lee, and Sarasota Counties. 32 (9) Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council: Indian River, 33 Martin, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie Counties. 34 (10) South Florida Regional Planning Council: Broward, 35 Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. 36 37 Beginning January 1, 2016, and thereafter, the Governor may 38 review and update the district boundaries of the regional 39 planning councils pursuant to his authority under s. 186.506(4). 40 41 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 42 And the title is amended as follows: 43 Delete lines 11 - 16 44 and insert: 45 negotiation processes; creating s. 186.512, F.S.; 46 subdividing the state into specified geographic 47 regions for the purpose of regional comprehensive 48 planning; authorizing the Governor to review and 49 update the district boundaries of the regional 50 planning councils; amending s. 186.513, F.S.;
