       Senator Bradley moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 327 and 328
    4  insert:
    5         Section 4. Subsections (5) and (6) of section 43.16,
    6  Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
    7         43.16 Justice Administrative Commission; membership, powers
    8  and duties.—
    9         (5) The duties of the commission shall include, but not be
   10  limited to, the following:
   11         (a) The maintenance of a central state office for
   12  administrative services and assistance when possible to and on
   13  behalf of the state attorneys and public defenders of Florida,
   14  the capital collateral regional counsel of Florida, the criminal
   15  conflict and civil regional counsel, and the Guardian Ad Litem
   16  Program, and the Florida Corrections Commission.
   17         (b) Each state attorney, public defender, and criminal
   18  conflict and civil regional counsel, and the Guardian Ad Litem
   19  Program, and the Florida Corrections Commission shall continue
   20  to prepare necessary budgets, vouchers that represent valid
   21  claims for reimbursement by the state for authorized expenses,
   22  and other things incidental to the proper administrative
   23  operation of the office, such as revenue transmittals to the
   24  Chief Financial Officer and automated systems plans, but will
   25  forward such items to the commission for recording and
   26  submission to the proper state officer. However, when requested
   27  by a state attorney, a public defender, a criminal conflict and
   28  civil regional counsel, or the Guardian Ad Litem Program, or the
   29  Florida Corrections Commission, the commission will either
   30  assist in the preparation of budget requests, voucher schedules,
   31  and other forms and reports or accomplish the entire project
   32  involved.
   33         (6) The provisions contained in this section shall be
   34  supplemental to those of chapter 27, relating to state
   35  attorneys, public defenders, criminal conflict and civil
   36  regional counsel, and capital collateral regional counsel; to
   37  those of chapter 39, relating to the Guardian Ad Litem Program;
   38  to those of chapter 20, relating to the Florida Corrections
   39  Commission, or to other laws pertaining hereto.

   44  and insert:
   45         elderly felony offenders; amending s. 43.16, F.S.;
   46         clarifying the duties of the Justice Administration

   48         Commission; amending s. 921.0021, F.S.;
