       Senator Joyner moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (902964) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 2636 - 2643
    4  and insert:
    5  private counsel, or the public defender, or the office of
    6  criminal conflict and civil regional counsel.
    7         (b) Within 1 court working day after the filing of a
    8  petition for continued involuntary outpatient placement, the
    9  court shall appoint the public defender to represent the
   10  individual if the individual person who is the subject of a the
   11  mental illness petition and the office of criminal conflict and
   12  civil regional counsel to represent the individual if the
   13  individual is the subject of a substance abuse petition, unless
   14  the individual person is otherwise represented by counsel. The
   15  clerk of the court shall immediately notify the public defender
   16  or the office of criminal conflict and civil regional counsel of
