       Senator Evers moved the following:

    4  insert:
    5         (106) SUPPORT SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS LICENSE PLATES.—
    6         (a) Notwithstanding s. 45, chapter 2008-176, Laws of
    7  Florida, as amended by s. 21, chapter 2010-223, Laws of Florida,
    8  and s. 45, chapter 2014-216, Laws of Florida, the department
    9  shall develop a Support Special Needs Kids license plate as
   10  provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The word “Florida”
   11  must appear at the top of the plate, and the words “Support
   12  Special Needs Kids” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
   13         (b) The department shall retain all annual use fees from
   14  the sale of such plates until all startup costs for developing
   15  and issuing the plates have been recovered. Thereafter, the
   16  annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be distributed
   17  to the Dan Marino Foundation, which:
   18         1. May use a maximum of 10 percent of the proceeds to
   19  promote and market the Support Special Needs Kids license plate.
   20         2. Shall invest and reinvest the remainder of the proceeds
   21  and use the interest thereon to assist Floridians with
   22  developmental and intellectual disabilities by funding
   23  scholarships, job placement, and promoting education,
   24  independence, and awareness.
