Section 768.38, Florida Statutes, is created to 11 read: 12 768.38 Liability arising out of drone use.—Notwithstanding 13 s. 768.81, if a person suffers an injury or property damage 14 caused by the negligent operation of a drone, the owner and 15 operator of the drone are liable for damages on the basis of the 16 doctrine of joint and several liability. As used in this 17 section, the term “drone” has the same meaning as in s. 934.50. 18 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2016.
