An assisted living facility licensed before July 1, 7 2016, is exempt from any requirement in the uniform firesafety 8 code established and adopted pursuant to s. 633.206 by the State 9 Fire Marshal for assisted living facilities which exceeds the 10 firesafety requirements of NFPA 101, 1994 edition, Chapter 23, 11 Existing Residential Board and Care Occupancies. However, a 12 facility that undergoes building rehabilitation as described by 13 the uniform firesafety code established by the State Fire 14 Marshal must thereafter be in compliance with the uniform 15 firesafety code in effect for assisted living facilities under 16 sub-subparagraph a. 17 18 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 19 And the title is amended as follows: 20 Between lines 10 and 11 21 insert: 22 providing an exemption from uniform firesafety code 23 requirements for certain assisted living facilities;
