       Senator Smith moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 1075 and 1076
    4  insert:
    5         Section 39. Paragraph (f) is added to subsection (6) of
    6  section 550.2415, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         550.2415 Racing of animals under certain conditions
    8  prohibited; penalties; exceptions.—
    9         (6)
   10         (f) A greyhound racing permitholder operating in this state
   11  must:
   12         1. Maintain its facility in a manner that provides for the
   13  safety of racing greyhounds;
   14         2. Maintain a safe racetrack surface at all times pursuant
   15  to safety standards adopted by the division;
   16         3. Install a safety device to remove the lure from the
   17  racetrack surface; and
   18         4. Insulate all exposed electrical wires on the racetrack
   19  surface or anywhere at the facility where a racing greyhound may
   20  come into contact with electrical wires.

   25  insert:
   26         amending s. 550.2415, F.S.; providing certain safety
   27         requirements for the racetrack facilities of a
   28         greyhound racing permitholder;
