       Senator Evers moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 1300 and 1301
    4  insert:
    5         Section 26. Paragraph (ffff) is added to subsection (4) of
    6  section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         320.08056 Specialty license plates.—
    8         (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be
    9  collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:
   10         (ffff) Support Special Needs Kids license plate, $25.
   11         Section 27. Subsection (84) is added to section 320.08058,
   12  Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         320.08058 Specialty license plates.—
   14         (84) SUPPORT SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS LICENSE PLATES.—
   15         (a) The department shall develop a Support Special Needs
   16  Kids license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053.
   17  The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
   18  words “Support Special Needs Kids” must appear at the bottom of
   19  the plate.
   20         (b) The department shall retain all annual use fees from
   21  the sale of the plate until startup costs for developing and
   22  issuing the plate have been recovered. Thereafter, the annual
   23  use fees from the sale of the plate shall be distributed to the
   24  Dan Marino Foundation, Inc., which:
   25         1. May use a maximum of 10 percent of the proceeds to
   26  promote and market the Support Special Needs Kids license plate.
   27         2. Shall invest and reinvest the remainder of the proceeds
   28  and use the interest thereon to assist Floridians with
   29  developmental and intellectual disabilities by funding
   30  scholarships, assisting with job placement, and promoting
   31  education, independence, and awareness.

   34  And the title is amended as follows:
   35         Delete line 145
   36  and insert:
   37         Legislature; amending s. 320.08056, F.S.; providing
   38         the annual use fee for the Support Special Needs Kids
   39         specialty license plate; amending s. 320.08058, F.S.;
   40         directing the department to develop the Support
   41         Special Needs Kids license plate; providing for the
   42         distribution of annual use fees received from the sale
   43         of such plate; providing effective dates.
