Floor: WD/2R . 03/04/2016 05:42 PM . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Hutson moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments) 2 3 Between lines 515 and 516 4 insert: 5 (11)(a) For the convenience of citizens, a tax collector 6 may enter into a contract with a license tag agent for the 7 operation of a branch agency to issue and renew motor vehicle 8 registrations and motor vehicle titles. 9 (b) If the department directly contracts with any entity or 10 allows any charter county, appointed tax collector, or elected 11 tax collector to include convenience fees not otherwise 12 specified in state law for driving skills tests, motor vehicle 13 registration or renewal, or motor vehicle title registration, it 14 shall treat all license tag agents, counties, and tax collectors 15 in the same manner and shall allow the branch agency agreement 16 to include such convenience fees upon a showing by the tax 17 collector that the contract does not otherwise reduce the level 18 of services provided by the tax collector at the time the 19 contract is entered. 20 21 ====== D I R E C T O R Y C L A U S E A M E N D M E N T ====== 22 And the directory clause is amended as follows: 23 Delete line 482 24 and insert: 25 Statutes, is amended, and subsection (11) is added to that 26 section, to read: 27 28 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 29 And the title is amended as follows: 30 Delete line 48 31 and insert: 32 disclosure is made; authorizing a tax collector to 33 enter into a contract with a license tag agent under 34 certain circumstances; requiring the department to 35 treat all license tag agents, counties, and tax 36 collectors in the same manner and to allow branch 37 agency agreements to include certain convenience fees, 38 under certain circumstances; amending s. 320.07, F.S.;
