       Senator Garcia moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Subsection (8) is added to section 381.82,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         381.82 Ed and Ethel Moore Alzheimer’s Disease Research
    8  Program.—
    9         (8) Notwithstanding s. 216.301 and pursuant to s. 216.351,
   10  the balance of any appropriation from the General Revenue Fund
   11  for the Ed and Ethel Moore Alzheimer’s Disease Research Program
   12  which is not disbursed but which is obligated pursuant to
   13  contract or committed to be expended by June 30 of the fiscal
   14  year in which the funds are appropriated may be carried forward
   15  for up to 5 years after the effective date of the original
   16  appropriation.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2016.

   22  and insert:
   23                        A bill to be entitled                      
   24         An act relating to Alzheimer’s disease research;
   25         amending s. 381.82, F.S.; providing for the
   26         carryforward of any unexpended balance of an
   27         appropriation for the Ed and Ethel Moore Alzheimer’s
   28         Disease Research Program; providing an effective date.
