       Senator Ring moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (420294) (with directory and
    2  title amendments)

    4         Between lines 1450 and 1451
    5  insert:
    6         (10) ELIGIBLE STUDENTS.—
    7         (d) A charter school may give enrollment preference to the
    8  following student populations:
    9         1. Students who are siblings of a student enrolled in the
   10  charter school.
   11         2. Students who are the children of a member of the
   12  governing board of the charter school.
   13         3. Students who are the children of an employee of the
   14  charter school.
   15         4. Students who are the children of:
   16         a. An employee of the business partner of a charter school
   17  in-the-workplace established under paragraph (15)(b) or a
   18  resident of the municipality in which such charter school is
   19  located; or
   20         b. A resident or an employee of a municipality that
   21  operates a charter school-in-a-municipality pursuant to
   22  paragraph (15)(c) or allows a charter school to use a school
   23  facility or portion of land provided by the municipality for the
   24  operation of the charter school.
   25         5. Students who have successfully completed a voluntary
   26  prekindergarten education program under ss. 1002.51-1002.79
   27  provided by the charter school or the charter school’s governing
   28  board during the previous year.
   29         6. Students who are the children of an active duty member
   30  of any branch of the United States Armed Forces.
