The designated supervising physician shall maintain a 6 list including the name of each supervising physician, his or 7 her practice area, and the name of each physician assistant. The 8 list must be kept current with respect to additions and 9 terminations of both supervising physicians and physician 10 assistants; and must include a daily record identifying the 11 supervising physician that is supervising each physician 12 assistant. The list must be provided, in a timely manner, to the 13 department upon written request. Failure of the designated 14 supervising physician to comply with this subparagraph is a 15 violation of ss. 456.072(1)(dd) and 458.331(g), F.S. 16 4. The department shall adopt rules to periodically obtain 17 and review the designated supervising physician lists required 18 under this section. 19 20 Delete lines 383 - 388 21 and insert: 22 3. The department shall adopt rules to periodically obtain 34 and review the designated supervision physician lists required 35 under this section. 36 37 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 38 And the title is amended as follows: 39 Delete lines 16 - 29 40 and insert: 41 at the practice or facility, including daily 42 assignments; providing for disciplinary action; 43 requiring the department to adopt rules; amending s. 44 459.022, F.S.; revising circumstances under which a 45 physician assistant may prescribe medication; 46 authorizing a licensed physician assistant to perform 47 certain services as delegated by a supervising 48 physician; revising physician assistant licensure and 49 license renewal requirements; removing a requirement 50 for letters of recommendation; defining the term 51 “designated supervising physician”; requiring licensed 52 physician assistants to report any changes in the 53 designated supervising physician within a specified 54 time; requiring a designated supervising physician to 55 maintain a list of supervising physicians at the 56 practice or facility, including daily assignments; 57 providing for disciplinary action; requiring the 58 department to adopt rules; providing an effective 59 date.
