       The Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, Space, and
       Domestic Security (Altman) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 128 and 129
    4  insert:
    5                             ARTICLE XII                           
    6                              SCHEDULE                             
    7         Ad valorem tax discount for spouses of deceased veterans
    8  who had permanent, combat-related disabilities.—The amendment to
    9  Section 6 of Article VII, relating to ad valorem tax discount
   10  for spouses of deceased veterans who had permanent, combat
   11  related disabilities, and this section shall take effect January
   12  1, 2017.

   15  And the title is amended as follows:
   16         Delete line 12
   17  and insert:
   18         unmarried and provide an effective date.
