       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Garcia)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 1459 - 1462
    4  and insert:
    5  not be recognized as a parent until proceedings to establish
    6  maternity or paternity have been concluded.  However, the
    7  prospective parent shall continue to receive notice of hearings
    8  as a participant until proceedings to establish maternity or
    9  paternity have been concluded.
