       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Garcia)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 1690 and 1691
    4  insert:
    5         Section 26. Paragraph (f) of subsection (1) of section
    6  1009.25, Florida Statutes, is amended to read
    7         1009.25 Fee exemptions.—
    8         (1) The following students are exempt from the payment of
    9  tuition and fees, including lab fees, at a school district that
   10  provides workforce education programs, Florida College System
   11  institution, or state university:
   12         (f) A student who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate
   13  nighttime residence or whose primary nighttime residence is a
   14  public or private shelter designed to provide temporary
   15  residence, a public or private transitional living program for
   16  individuals intended to be institutionalized, or a public or
   17  private place not designed for, or ordinarily used as, a regular
   18  sleeping accommodation for human beings. This includes a student
   19  who, if it were not for the availability of college or
   20  university dormitory housing, would be homeless.

   24  and insert:
   25         requirements for access to patient records; amending
   26         s. 1009.25, F.S.; revising fee exemption requirements
