Section 943.0586, Florida Statutes, is created 6 to read: 7 943.0586 Administrative sealing of criminal history 8 records.— 9 (1) The Criminal Justice Information Program shall 10 administratively seal the criminal history records pertaining to 11 an arrest or incident of alleged criminal activity of an adult 12 charged with a felony, misdemeanor, or violation of a comparable 13 rule or ordinance by a state, county, municipal, or other law 14 enforcement agency upon notification by the clerk of the court, 15 pursuant to s. 943.052(2), that all the charges related to the 16 arrest or incident of alleged criminal activity were declined to 17 be filed by the state attorney or statewide prosecutor, 18 dismissed or nolle prosequi before trial, or resulted in a 19 judgment of acquittal or verdict of not guilty at trial. 20 (2) The effect of a criminal history record sealing under 21 this section shall be the same as in s. 943.059(4). 22 23 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 24 And the title is amended as follows: 25 Delete line 25 26 and insert: 27 for expunction of a criminal history record; creating 28 s. 943.0586, F.S.; requiring the Criminal Justice 29 Information Program to administratively seal the 30 criminal history records of an adult upon notification 31 by the clerk of the court under specified 32 circumstances; providing applicability; providing
