    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to lottery games; amending ss. 24.111
    3         and 24.112, F.S.; requiring contracts entered into
    4         between the Department of the Lottery and a vendor or
    5         retailer of lottery tickets to include a provision
    6         that requires the vendor or retailer place or print a
    7         specified warning on all lottery tickets; providing an
    8         effective date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. Subsection (8) is added to section 24.111,
   13  Florida Statutes, to read:
   14         24.111 Vendors; disclosure and contract requirements.—
   15         (8) Every contract entered into by the department pursuant
   16  to this section shall contain a provision that requires the
   17  vendor to place or print a warning on all lottery tickets that
   18  prominently reads: “WARNING: GAMBLING CAN BE ADDICTIVE.”
   19         Section 2. Subsections (10) through (15) of section 24.112,
   20  Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections (11) through
   21  (16), respectively, and a new subsection (10) is added to that
   22  section to read:
   23         24.112 Retailers of lottery tickets; authorization of
   24  vending machines to dispense lottery tickets.—
   25         (10) Every contract entered into by the department pursuant
   26  to this section shall contain a provision that requires the
   27  retailer to place or print a warning on all lottery tickets that
   28  prominently reads: “WARNING: GAMBLING CAN BE ADDICTIVE.”
   29         Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2017.
