    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to transportation facility
    3         designations; providing an honorary designation of a
    4         certain transportation facility in a specified county;
    5         directing the Department of Transportation to erect
    6         suitable markers; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Officer Charles “Charlie K” Kondek, Jr.,
   11  Memorial Highway designated; Department of Transportation to
   12  erect suitable markers.—
   13         (1) That portion of U.S. 19A/S.R. 595 between Tarpon Avenue
   14  and the Pasco County line in Pinellas County is designated as
   15  “Officer Charles ‘Charlie K’ Kondek, Jr., Memorial Highway.”
   16         (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
   17  suitable markers designating Officer Charles “Charlie K” Kondek,
   18  Jr., Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
   19         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2017.
