       The Committee on Education (Brandes) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Before line 47
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Present subsections (4) and (5) of section
    6  944.801, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as subsections (5)
    7  and (6), respectively, and a new subsection (4) is added to that
    8  section, to read:
    9         944.801 Education for state prisoners.—
   10         (4) The department may enter into a contract with a charter
   11  school authorized to operate under s. 1002.33 to provide
   12  education services for the Correctional Education Program.
