The Committee on Appropriations (Flores) recommended the
following:

4 insert:
5 Section 3. Present subsection (12) of section 1008.22,
6 Florida Statutes, is redesignated as subsection (13), and a new
7 subsection (12) is added to that section, to read:
8 1008.22 Student assessment program for public schools.—
9 (12) PUBLICATION OF ASSESSMENTS.—To promote transparency in
10 the statewide assessment program, the Department of Education,
11 subject to appropriation, shall publish assessments on its
12 website in accordance with this subsection.
13 (a) Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, and every 3
14 years thereafter, the department shall publish each assessment
15 administered under paragraph (3)(a) and subparagraph (3)(b)1.,
16 excluding retake assessments, at least once pursuant to a
17 schedule determined by the Commissioner of Education. Each
18 assessment, when published, must have been administered during
19 the most recent school year.
20 (b) The initial publication of assessments must occur no
21 later than June 30, 2020, and must include, at a minimum, the
22 grade 3 ELA and mathematics assessments, the grade 10 ELA
23 assessment, and the Algebra I EOC assessment.
24 (c) The department must provide materials on its website to
25 help the public interpret assessment information published
26 pursuant to this subsection.
