House Comm: WD . 04/07/2017 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Appropriations (Braynon) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 138 - 179 4 and insert: 5 enrichment by owners, operators, real estate developers, 6 managers, and other affiliated parties of charter schools. 7 Therefore, a charter school is not eligible for a funding 8 allocation unless the chair of the governing board and the chief 9 administrative officer of the charter school annually certify 10 under oath that the funds will be used solely and exclusively 11 for constructing, renovating, or improving charter school 12 facilities that are: 13 1. Owned by a school district, political subdivision of the 14 state, municipality, Florida College System institution, or 15 state university; or 16 2. Owned by an organization, qualified as an exempt 17 organization under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, 18 whose articles of incorporation specify that upon the 19 organization’s dissolution, the subject property will be 20 transferred to a school district, political subdivision of the 21 state, municipality, Florida College System institution, or 22 state university.
