    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to a review under the Open Government
    3         Sunset Review Act; amending s. 272.136, F.S., which
    4         provides a public records exemption for identifying
    5         information of certain donors or prospective donors to
    6         the direct-support organization of the Florida
    7         Historic Capitol Museum; removing the scheduled repeal
    8         of the exemption; providing an effective date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. Subsection (7) of section 272.136, Florida
   13  Statutes, is amended to read:
   14         272.136 Direct-support organization.—The Florida Historic
   15  Capitol Museum Council and the Florida Historic Capitol Museum
   16  Director may establish a direct-support organization to provide
   17  assistance and promotional support through fundraising for the
   18  Florida Historic Capitol Museum, including, but not limited to,
   19  its educational programs and initiatives.
   20         (7)(a) The identity of a donor or prospective donor to the
   21  direct-support organization who desires to remain anonymous, and
   22  all information identifying such donor or prospective donor, is
   23  confidential and exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I
   24  of the State Constitution. Such anonymity shall be maintained in
   25  any auditor’s report created pursuant to the annual financial
   26  audit required under subsection (5).
   27         (b) This subsection is subject to the Open Government
   28  Sunset Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and shall stand
   29  repealed on October 2, 2017, unless reviewed and saved from
   30  repeal through reenactment by the Legislature.
   31         Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2017.
