       The Committee on Judiciary (Steube) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 77 - 82
    4  and insert:
    5         (4) A third party or the designated representative of a
    6  third party ordered to attend a mediation may participate via
    7  telephone or videoconference unless the order expressly requires
    8  personal attendance. If participating via telephone or
    9  videoconference, a third party or the designated representative
   10  may complete and submit necessary documentation via electronic
   11  means during the mediation.
   12         (5) Any person or persons consulted by the third-party
   13  representative must be available to teleconference with the
   14  mediator at the mediator’s request.
   15         (6) A third party ordered to attend a mediation conference
   16  who fails to appear is subject to sanctions in the same manner
   17  as a party who fails to appear.
