    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the Florida Affordable Housing
    3         Guarantee Program; amending s. 420.5092, F.S.;
    4         revising the definition of the term “eligible housing”
    5         to include housing for evacuees from a United States
    6         territory; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subsection (2) of section
   11  420.5092, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   12         420.5092 Florida Affordable Housing Guarantee Program.—
   13         (2) As used in this section, the term:
   14         (d) “Eligible housing” means any real and personal property
   15  designed and intended for the primary purpose of providing
   16  decent, safe, and sanitary residential units for homeownership
   17  or rental for eligible persons, including specifically housing
   18  for the homeless, as determined by the corporation pursuant to
   19  rule. Such housing may also be for evacuees from a United States
   20  territory.
   21         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2018.
