       The Committee on Ethics and Elections (Hutson) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 30 - 34
    4  and insert:
    5         (2)(a) The governing body of a municipality shall determine
    6  if an election for municipal office is held on the same date as
    7  the general election, the first Tuesday after the first Monday
    8  in November, or the third Tuesday in March. However, a
    9  municipality may not conduct more than one municipal general
   10  election in the same calendar year.
