       Senator Young moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (384600) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 2817 and 2818
    5  insert:
    6         Section 58. Paragraph (c) of subsection (4) of section
    7  934.50, Florida Statutes, is amended, and paragraph (k) is added
    8  to that subsection, to read:
    9         934.50 Searches and seizure using a drone.—
   10         (4) EXCEPTIONS.—This section does not prohibit the use of a
   11  drone:
   12         (c) If the law enforcement agency possesses reasonable
   13  suspicion that, under particular circumstances, swift action is
   14  needed to prevent imminent danger to life or serious damage to
   15  property;, to forestall the imminent escape of a suspect or the
   16  destruction of evidence; to facilitate the collection of
   17  evidence at a crime scene or traffic crash scene;, or to achieve
   18  purposes including, but not limited to, facilitating the search
   19  for a missing person.
   20         (k) By a local or state agency when used in the assessment
   21  of damage, flood state, wildfire, or land management, or the
   22  monitoring and collection of scientific or marketing data.

   27  insert:
   28         amending s. 934.50, F.S.; adding exceptions to the
   29         prohibition on the use of a drone;
