Senator Steube moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (384600) (with title
2 amendment)

4 Between lines 1881 and 1882
5 insert:
6 Section 34. Subsection (1) of section 320.10, Florida
7 Statutes, is amended to read:
8 320.10 Exemptions.—
9 (1) The provisions of s. 320.08 do not apply to any of the
10 following:
11 (a) Any motor vehicle or mobile home owned by, and operated
12 exclusively for the personal use of, any member of the United
13 States Armed Forces who is not a resident of this state and who
14 is stationed in the state while in compliance with military or
15 naval orders.;
16 (b) Any motor vehicle owned or operated exclusively by the
17 Federal Government.;
18 (c) Any motor vehicle owned and operated exclusively for
19 the benefit of the Boys’ Clubs of America, the National Audubon
20 Society, the National Children’s Cardiac Hospital, any humane
21 society, any nationally chartered veterans’ organization that
22 maintains a state headquarters in this state, the Children’s
23 Bible Mission, the Boy Scouts of America, the Girl Scouts of
24 America, the Salvation Army, the American National Red Cross,
25 the United Service Organization, any local member unit of the
26 National Urban League which provides free services to municipal
27 and county residents who are in need of such services, the Young
28 Men’s Christian Association, the Young Men’s Hebrew Association,
29 the Camp Fire Girls’ Council, the Young Women’s Christian
30 Association, the Young Women’s Hebrew Association, any local
31 member unit of the Arc of Florida, the Children’s Home Society
32 of Florida, or the Goodwill Industries. A not-for-profit
33 organization named in this paragraph, and its local affiliate
34 organizations, is eligible for the exemption and to participate
35 in a self-insurance fund authorized by s. 624.4625 if it
36 maintains current articles of incorporation on file with the
37 Department of State and qualifies as a not-for-profit
38 organization under s. 212.08.;
39 (d) Any motor vehicle owned and operated by a church,
40 temple, or synagogue for exclusive use as a community service
41 van or to transport passengers without compensation to religious
42 services or for religious education.;
43 (e) Any motor vehicle owned and operated by the Civil Air
44 Patrol or the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.;
45 (f) Any mobile blood bank unit when operated as a nonprofit
46 service by an organization.;
47 (g) Any mobile X-ray unit or truck or bus used exclusively
48 for public health purposes.;
49 (h) Any school bus owned and operated by a nonprofit
50 educational or religious corporation.;
51 (i) Any vehicle used by any of the various search and
52 rescue units of the several counties for exclusive use as a
53 search and rescue vehicle.;
54 (j) Any motor vehicle used by a community transportation
55 coordinator or a transportation operator as defined in part I of
56 chapter 427, and which is used exclusively to transport
57 transportation disadvantaged persons.; or
58 (k) Any marine boat trailer exempt under s. 320.102.

63 and insert:
64 the Bronze Star; amending s. 320.10, F.S.; providing
65 that specified not-for-profit organizations and their
66 local affiliate organizations are eligible to
67 participate in a self-insurance fund if they maintain
68 current articles of incorporation on file with the
69 Department of State and qualify as not-for-profit
70 organizations; amending s. 320.131, F.S.;
