The Committee on Appropriations (Grimsley) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete lines 11 - 13
4 and insert:
5 Section 1. Subsection (1) and paragraphs (a) and (b) of
6 subsection (3) of section 408.0361, Florida Statutes, are
7 amended to read:
8 408.0361 Cardiovascular services and burn unit licensure.—
9 (1) Each provider of diagnostic cardiac catheterization
10 services shall comply with rules adopted by the agency that
11 establish licensure standards governing the operation of adult
12 inpatient diagnostic cardiac catheterization programs. The rules
13 shall ensure that such programs:
14 (a) Comply with the most recent guidelines of the American
15 College of Cardiology and American Heart Association Guidelines
16 for Cardiac Catheterization and Cardiac Catheterization
17 Laboratories.
18 (b) Perform only adult inpatient diagnostic cardiac
19 catheterization services and will not provide therapeutic
20 cardiac catheterization or any other cardiology services.
21 (c) Maintain sufficient appropriate equipment and health
22 care personnel to ensure quality and safety.
23 (d) Maintain appropriate times of operation and protocols
24 to ensure availability and appropriate referrals in the event of
25 emergencies.
26 (e) Demonstrate a plan to provide services to Medicaid and
27 charity care patients.
28 (f) Are offered at facilities licensed under chapter 395.

31 And the title is amended as follows:
32 Delete lines 3 - 5
33 and insert:
34 amending s. 408.0361, F.S.; requiring rules adopted by
35 the Agency for Health Care Administration to include a
36 provision ensuring that adult inpatient diagnostic
37 cardiac catheterization programs are offered at
38 certain licensed facilities; establishing criteria
39 that must be included by the agency in rules relating
40 to the licensure of
