       The Committee on Appropriations (Young) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 31 - 34
    4  and insert:
    5         2. If a student is hospitalized or homebound and his or her
    6  parent seeks a reevaluation of an existing individual education
    7  plan, the parent may request an individual education plan
    8  meeting and evaluation from the school district to obtain or
    9  revise a matrix of services. The school district shall conduct
   10  the meeting and develop an individual education plan and a
   11  revised matrix of services within 30 days after receipt of the
   12  parent’s request for a reevaluation, in accordance with State
   13  Board of Education rules. For purposes of this subparagraph, the
   14  term “hospitalized or homebound” has the same meaning as
   15  “hospital or homebound” in s. 1002.385(2)(d).

   18  And the title is amended as follows:
   19         Delete lines 4 - 7
   20  and insert:
   21         1002.39, F.S.; providing that parents of certain
   22         students who are seeking an individual education plan
   23         reevaluation may request a specified meeting and
   24         evaluation from the school district; requiring the
   25         school district to conduct the meeting and
   26         reevaluation within a specified timeframe; defining
   27         the term “hospitalized or homebound”; specifying that
   28         a school district may change
