House Comm: RCS . 02/28/2018 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Appropriations (Galvano) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 2 3 Delete lines 765 - 777 4 and insert: 5 weapon or firearm issued under s. 790.06. The law enforcement 6 officer shall take possession of all firearms and ammunition 7 belonging to the respondent which are surrendered. 8 Alternatively, if personal service by a law enforcement officer 9 is not possible or is not required because the respondent was 10 present at the risk protection order hearing, the respondent 11 must surrender any firearms, ammunition, and license to carry a 12 concealed weapon or firearm in a safe manner to the control of 13 the local law enforcement agency immediately after being served 14 with the order by service or immediately after the hearing at 15 which the respondent was present. Notwithstanding ss. 933.02 and 16 933.18, a law enforcement officer may seek a search warrant from 17 a court of competent jurisdiction to conduct a search for 18 firearms or ammunition if the officer has probable cause to 19 believe that there are firearms or ammunition in the 20 respondent’s custody, control, or possession which have not been 21 surrendered. 22 23 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 24 And the title is amended as follows: 25 Delete line 68 26 and insert: 27 the surrender and storage of firearms, ammunition, and 28 licenses to carry a concealed weapon or firearm
