       The Committee on Appropriations (Grimsley) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (350294) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 26 and 27
    5  insert:
    6         Section 2. Section 252.3569, Florida Statutes, is created
    7  to read:
    8         252.3569 Florida state agricultural response team.—The
    9  Legislature finds that the Department of Agriculture and
   10  Consumer Services is the lead agency for animal, agricultural,
   11  and vector issues in the state during an emergency or disaster
   12  situations, as described by the Florida Comprehensive Emergency
   13  Management Plan. Pursuant to this responsibility, there is
   14  established within the department a state agricultural response
   15  team. Duties of the team include, but are not limited to:
   16         (1) Oversight of the emergency management functions of
   17  preparedness, recovery, mitigation, and response with all
   18  agencies and organizations that are involved with the state’s
   19  response activities related to animal, agricultural, and vector
   20  issues;
   21         (2) Development, training, and support of county
   22  agricultural response teams; and
   23         (3) Staffing the Emergency Support Function 17 at the State
   24  Emergency Operations Center and staffing, as necessary, at
   25  county emergency operations centers.
