       The Committee on Infrastructure and Security (Flores)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Paragraph (t) of subsection (16) of section
    6  320.02, Florida Statutes, is amended, present paragraph (u) of
    7  that subsection is redesignated as paragraph (t), and a new
    8  paragraph (u) is added to that subsection, to read:
    9         320.02 Registration required; application for registration;
   10  forms.—
   11         (16)
   12         (t) The application form for motor vehicle registration and
   13  renewal registration must include language permitting a
   14  voluntary contribution of $1 or more per applicant, which shall
   15  be distributed to the Auto Club Group Traffic Safety Foundation,
   16  Inc., a nonprofit organization. Funds received by the foundation
   17  must be used to improve traffic safety culture in communities
   18  through effective outreach, education, and activities in the
   19  state which will save lives, reduce injuries, and prevent
   20  crashes. The foundation must comply with s. 320.023.
   21         (u) Notwithstanding s. 320.023(1) and (2), the application
   22  form for motor vehicle registration and renewal of registration
   23  must include language permitting a voluntary contribution of $1
   24  or more per applicant to the Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer
   25  Foundation. Such contributions must be distributed by the
   26  department to the Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation.

   28  For the purpose of applying the service charge provided in s.
   29  215.20, contributions received under this subsection are not
   30  income of a revenue nature.
   31         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2019.

   38         An act relating to motor vehicle registration
   39         applications; amending s. 320.02, F.S.; deleting a
   40         requirement that the application form for motor
   41         vehicle registration and renewal of registration
   42         include language permitting a voluntary contribution
   43         to the Auto Club Group Traffic Safety Foundation;
   44         requiring that such application form include language
   45         permitting a voluntary contribution to the Live Like
   46         Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation; requiring that the
   47         Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
   48         distribute such contributions to the Live Like Bella
   49         Childhood Cancer Foundation; providing an effective
   50         date.
