Florida Senate - 2019 SB 320 By Senator Hooper 16-00584-19 2019320__ 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to residential conservation programs; 3 creating s. 379.107, F.S.; authorizing the Fish and 4 Wildlife Conservation Commission to organize, staff, 5 equip, and operate residential conservation programs 6 for a specified purpose; authorizing the commission to 7 establish cooperative efforts, procure commodities and 8 contractual services, and hire and train appropriate 9 personnel and volunteers for the programs; providing 10 an effective date. 11 12 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13 14 Section 1. Section 379.107, Florida Statutes, is created to 15 read: 16 379.107 Residential conservation programs.—The commission 17 may organize, staff, equip, and operate residential conservation 18 programs to provide fish and wildlife conservation education and 19 training programs to the public, commission employees, and 20 volunteers. To assist in carrying out the operation of the 21 residential conservation programs, the commission may establish 22 cooperative efforts involving federal, state, and local 23 entities; may procure commodities and contractual services, 24 including travel, lodging, meals and meal services; and may hire 25 and train appropriate personnel and volunteers. 26 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2019.
